Before becoming an advocate in June 2022, I practised as a solicitor in Scotland for five years. As a solicitor, I maintained a wide practice focussed on civil disputes. Since becoming counsel I have been instructed in a wide-range of civil disputes and have also been instructed in relation to cases in the criminal courts.

Although I had an almost exclusively civil practice before coming to the Bar, my practice is now a mixed civil and criminal one with an almost even split between work in the civil and criminal courts.
